In the Zone?

It's finally November! And whenever it's November I feel I'm in the zone. I feel confident with all the things I do. And there were some good moments that hapened in this month for the past years.

This time however started with some bad moments. My dad's mobile phone was stolen yesterday while we were going inside the cemetery in Bulacan. I am still waiting for my application status for the job opening at dotPH, which I think is going down the drain. My girlfriend will not be coming home for Christmas.

Anyway, it's still the start of the month. I hope there will be a lot more good things to happen to me in days to come.

Typing on a PDA

I finally bought an IR (Infrared) Portable Keyboard for my ASUS Pocket PC. Like my ASUS A620BT, it took me several months to decide whether to buy this or not. I eventually did, since this will help me in doing my work faster. I write articles for a couple of magazines, and typing those articles using a portable keyboard is obviously easier than just jotting them down on the PDA. I'm actually typing this blog while on Wi-Fi here at Seattle's Best Coffee, Paseo Center ü

Master Rey, webmaster of Airfagev (www.airfagev.com) chatted with me via Agile Messenger several minutes ago, and mentioned that I have to write an article for the November issue of m|ph magazine, now the hottest tech magazine in the country! I feel delighted, very delighted! It's now time for me to put this keyboard into test! ü

Nowhere to Go

I've been wanting to leave the house since 9 a.m. It's 5:49 p.m. and the only place I went to so far is my bank to deposit money. I blame it on these two reasons why I'm still stuck here: TV and Internet. I feel so unproductive (as if going to the mall to watch a movie is being productive ). In a way, at least it will prevent me from doing the following things:

1. Smoking (I've been trying to stop this urge for days)

2. Eating (I've been trying to prevent myself from eating too much, which obviously failed)

3. Spending money on unnecessary things

Too late for me to go out. In a couple of hours, my brother and I will train for JKD. At least it will make my body a little bit useful...

Trying to Keep Myself Busy

I've been trying to keep myself busy these days by writing articles for the newest magazine to hit town, Tech & Tuner. It's a magazine that features both technology and cars, and also some other cool stuff you wouldn't think reading in a magazine. Buy a copy at selected magazine shops for P125.00.

As I was saying, I've been quite busy for the past days, and even if I'm not in the mood in writing, I pushed myself into it and made a couple of articles to be published for next month's issue. I wanted to write more, but I've been running out of ideas. Maybe for the January issue I'll be able to contribute more materials for the magazine. If DJ Matt, my editor and friend would still let me pass this week maybe I can give one more at least.

I just hope my writing career would flourish. It was my frustration to be a writer for newspapers and magazines, maybe this time would be an opportunity for me to work in a career that I truly love.

Speaking of careers, I am not sure if I will continue working with West by the start of the new year. I'm still thinking about it. I'm getting tired of the routinary work. Come to think of it, I've been talking and talking with americans for more than 2 years and to be honest, I'm getting sick of it. Maybe if I'll get paid for around 40k a month then probably I won't have to think twice.

Supersize Me!

A week will never end not until I have my Wendy's Biggie Meal! Their burgers became my instant favorite. I really like the juiciness of the meat, as well as its buns which I find tastier than the burgers of McDonald's and the others. Their fries also happen to be my best choice among other fast food chains.

Since I've obviously gained a lot because of eating these humongous burgers, I decided that my last Biggie Meal at Wendy's would be their triple pattie biggie meal. Boy! I felt very heavy after eating this burger!

This is the aftermath...

Picture Picture

Noticed haven't been posting pictures lately? It's because I don't have a digicam <sigh>  We used to have one but I guess my brother already sold it, maybe because he thinks that Fuji digicam I bought sucks. He used to have a Sony Videocam with a digital camera feature. Unfortunately, their house was broke in and that videocam was stolen. I find it pathetic that we don't have a digital camera anymore, especially for me to borrow and use.

Actually I'm using the camera attachment on my TanaGirlie to take pictures. Not the best resolution but it's good enough and does the job done. Alas, that camera together with my other stuff got lost months ago. Anyway, I've been itching to buy a digital camera, the cheapest that i could find with at least 2.0 megapixels. Kodak offers the cheapest 3.2 megapixel camera at the price of 8,000 bucks. Cool! I would have bought it but I don't need it that much, not just yet. If I have money saved I'd buy a 5.0 megapixel camera, but if I have more money to burn then I'll probably buy a digital SLR camera.

I miss photography, it used to be my hobby a decade ago but somehow lost interest in it.

I now have an attachable camera again for my TanaGirlie and I use it to take pictures of not so interesting subjects, such as the burgers I took pictures of below.

This was a picture I took in Seattle's Best Coffee, Harrison Plaza last week while trying to write an article for a magazine. You'll see a pocket pc turned sideways to have a landscape view of my pocket word. Attached on top of my pocket pc is an Eagletec Wi-Fi card for internet access (almost all Seattle's Best Coffee shops have Wi-Fi access c/o Airborne Access) and I'm using my Infra-Red keyboard to type my articles instead of jotting them down on my pocket pc. Also in the picture is a magazine where I'm getting information for my article, a 256 MB Compact Flash card, and a hot cup of Cafe Mocha.
